Forrest Gump (1994)


Winner of three Golden Globe Awards and six Academy Awards including Best Picture, this was shown on TV several times. For this really made Tom Hanks very famous on. Joining him are Sally Field, Gary Sinise, Robin Wright, and Haley Joel Osmont. Based on the book by Winston Groom, and directed by Robert Zemeckis, thank Paramount Pictures for this.

From 1956 to 1981, Forrest Gump (named after a Confederate soldier who was the grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan) had been a Vietnam War hero, a shrimping boat fisherman, a college football star, a ping pong champion, and a running marathon man, as he got to see the historical events in the 20th century.
